Unico has a rich history of development that began with our partnership with the University of Washington to design, finance, build and lease some of the most noteworthy high-rise office buildings in downtown Seattle. Over the next six decades, we developed several high-performing buildings throughout the western U.S., including the iconic Rainier Tower in 1977, and most recently, a 26-story mixed-use tower in Portland.
In 2018, Unico announced a formal strategic partnership with Costigan Integrated, an owner’s representation firm, that enabled Unico to take advantage of growing development opportunities in the Pacific Northwest and other markets. Since that acquisition, Unico and Costigan Integrated have delivered and announced a number of highly exciting projects across the country. In 2018, we completed the award-winning 96,000-square-foot Circa Building in Denver’s reborn Platte Street. In 2019, we broke ground on its 165,000-square-foot Bouldin Creek project in Austin and the 211,000-square-foot Cascadian in Seattle’s thriving South Lake Union. Other projects we have underway include the 17-acre Montgomery Park master-planned mixed-use development in Portland, Ore., the phased repositioning of the One Nashville skyscraper in Nashville, Tenn., and the 150,000-square-foot 1430 Wynkoop historic redevelopment project in Denver.
Since 2020, Costigan Integrated was consolidated under the Unico brand as a fully integrated part of the Unico family.
